Presentation Guidelines
Oral Presentations
- A total of 30 minutes has been allocated for each paper presentation, including time for questions.
- Session chairpersons will strictly enforce this limit. Presenters are requested to keep their presentation within the time limits stated.
- Presentations must be carried out using either Microsoft Power Point or Overhead Projector (OHP). No slide projector will be provided. Mac users are supposed to bring along the adapter for connection to the video projector cable.
- For presenters using Microsoft Power Point, they are encouraged to bring their files on a CD-ROM or USB flash drive (thumb drive) and upload their file from 07:30-08:15 hrs daily, during the daily tea breaks or lunch time directly onto the laptop or desktop computer provided in the designated room of the presentation.
- Presenters may also use their own laptops if their presentations require special software or code.
Poster Presentations
You will be provided with a poster board to mount/display your poster. Posters MUST be in Portrait format. Your presentation code will be indicated on the board. Please note that the width of the poster board may not be exceeded under any circumstances. You will be provided with the material to mount your poster onto the board.
Poster Size:
Standard A1 size - 841mm (height) by 594mm (width) or
33.1inches (height) by 23.4 inches (width)
Setting Up and Removing Posters:
- Presenters are to put up their posters on the day of their presentation.
- Posters are to be removed on the same day, after the presentation.
- Presenters are responsible for the dismantling of their posters.
- Posters left behind after 18:00 hrs will be disposed of and are not the responsibility of the organizer.
